Residents must watch over and sustain their mobile home parks. No one else, not the park owner and manager, government officials, or others in the community, will take on this role.

Traditionally, the voices of manufactured home residents may be discounted. It takes effort to be heard but one person's efforts can lead to great results. Get to know those who have an impact, regularly attend government meetings, meet local reporters.

Substantial neighborhood achievement depends upon building momentum. Modest initial successes lead to more ambitious efforts. Mobile home neighborhoods need a solid core of people who do not quit. Persistence produces rewards. Building a positive record demonstrates what neighbors can do when they join together.
